WHY CHOOSE MULHOLLAND Middle School?

Mulholland’s English Program for grades 6-8 is designed specifically to individually foster students to assist them with meeting or exceeding the state’s common core standards, Not only will we prepare each student to achieve on the state test but our qualified staff will supply each student with the skills necessary for High School and Beyond. Actions we take to reach these goals include:

• Curriculum that is rigorous and standards based.

• Individualized differentiated instruction using pen and paper as well as laptop computers and technology.

• Professional English instruction that ensures success in high school, college and career..

• Individual, partner, and differentiated groupings to ensure that each student grasp English Concepts.

• 6-8 teachers use Common Strategies: Annotating and Note-Taking.

• Each grade levels reads the same text in order to create Unity within as well as among grade levels.

• The Police Academy threads the theme of Law Enforcement within the curriculum.

• Robotics Magnet threads the theme of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) throughout the curriculum.
