BIOTECHNOLOGY PATHWAY

Our Biotechnology Pathway courses star in the 7th and 8th grade. The pathway links our middle school class with high school. Our partner school is Reseda Charter High School.

BIOTECHNOLOGY LAB STATION

The biotechnology lab system (coming soon) promises to take the studies of students to another level. Students will explore a variety of science topics by engaging in interactive experiments. The lab equipment includes:

Nine electrophoresis devices features double-gel units and state-of-the-art design and safety features.
One Megacycler is an easy-to-use classroom PCR machine with a LCD screen that will display all program parameters.
One incubator oven that students will use to grown and maintain cultures.
One Water bath
Three micro-centrifuges that will allow students to spin down their samples and efficiently complete pre-labs.

The complete system includes so much more.

Biotechnology Pathway is a new program to Mulholland Middle School. A pathway is a sequence of hands-on courses. These courses start in middle school and continue in high school and lead to college and a career in science.
